WOW Hair!

Back in June I took notice of a new type of hair extension that seemed faster, less intrusive, and the best part is that the high quality hair is reusable for up to a year!! Ultratress II. I signed up for the training classes in Fort Lauderdale, and got certified by the company.

We ventured into this new area cautiously, and a couple of our regulars got an excellent deal, as we moved forward and got fully confident in this method.
Ultratress II hair extensions have since made quite a few ladies VERY happy!!
The method employs high quality remy human hair that is embedded in a very small silicone strip, to which a double sided clear adhesive strip is applied. The extensions are custom sized to your needs, and then applied near the root of you hair. After applying the first tape, the hair extension is pressed in place, then lifted. As it lifts up, a fine layer of hair is adhered. Then a second adhesive extension is attached to the underside, sandwiching your hair gently between the two layers. The results in an almost weightless extension that triples the density of you hair, not to mention all the length you could wish for!!

These before and after are from the manufacturer, but our own will be added in the next few days. I cant wait to get mine in!!

Funds for The Cure, and FUN for Us !!

At a recent party at the TIKI Bar and Grill in Riviera Beach, I was approached by the manager and asked if I could do PINK hair extensions for an upcoming fundraiser. WIRK radio station was having a "Ride For The Cure" which was starting off there at the restaurant. We put together some stuff to sell, pink beads, pink roses, pink hair feathers, and pink hair extensions.
Even though the ride wasn't well attended because of cloudy wondy weather, we did pretty good, and had LOADS of fun. A lot of laughs, a good meal and made lots of giggly girls happy with pink hair.  I had so much fun I believe I am going to make a banner for permanent use  (the one we had was paper) and do this every year, maybe a few of them. We answered a lot of hairy questions, and handed out some gift certificates, discount cards, and salon info.
So here are the pics, enjoy!

Welcome to Our Newest Feature!

Good, south Florida rainy, morning!! I understand this rain is bringing a cooling off! That will be a nice sign of the impending "season". My first  seasonal clients have arrived, two so far.
I just wanted to get the very first post up, just to say HI!, and get the ball rolling.
Over the summer we had a lot going on.
Jody, who had been with me since the grand opening, has moved on. Jody had not been happy, and appaently the customers were feeling her angst. SOOO, another page turns.
The addition of Neysi Batista to our staff has given us the opportunity to serve our Spanish speaking neighbors. Neysi is a talented young woman, has experience from barbering to ethnic relaxers, roller sets, the works!. There is not one service she provides that she does not put 100% talent and effort into!! How wonderful is that?!
Our most recent development is the addition of Miss Marisa Davis. Marisa came to us seeking more flexibility in her work environment, and being a "booth renter" is a perfect way to achieve that freedom and flexibility. Marisa is co-operative, creative, and like my extra right hand when I need one.
Marisa excels in color, and does feather hair extensions, and the uber-new hair tinsel. I think this is a must-have for the holidays. Ladies we have ton of it too! at only 1$ a strand you can get plenty (each strand can make 2 to 4 extensions).  In taking on new stylists, it became apparent that we were lacking in space for client reception seating. The next step was the mini-makeover of the main work space. Thanks to Ikea, we got the job done nicely. New retail shevling, some new cabinets, and a pair of custom made RED storage benches have doubled our reception area, and made the room look balanced, and open. Our old huge retail cabinet is gone. So far everything is working well.
We look forward to a productive season, hope to see you there!!!
